Vice-Chancellor

Professor Timothy Olubisi Adejumo serves as the Vice-Chancellor of Precious Cornerstone University (PCU), Ibadan, Nigeria.

Born in Modakeke, Ife East Local Government Area of Osun State, Nigeria, he has built a distinguished career in academia and research.​

Educational Background

• Primary Education: L.A. Primary School, Odesomi via Osu-Ilesa (1967-1972).​

• Secondary Education: Modakeke High School (MHS), Modakeke (1973-1978).​

• Tertiary Education:

  • B.Sc. in Industrial Microbiology from the University of Ilorin (1985).​

  • M.Sc. in Industrial Microbiology from the University of Ilorin (1988).​

  • Ph.D. in Mycology and Plant Pathology from the University of Ibadan (1997).

Academic and Professional Career

Professor Adejumo specializes in Agricultural and Environmental Microbiology & Biotechnology, focusing on areas such as molecular diagnostics, mycotoxicology, phytopathology, soil microbiology, biological control, and microbial ecology. He has authored over 65 publications in both local and international journals and books.​

He began his academic career at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) in 2001 as a Lecturer I and rose to the rank of Professor in 2013. In December 2023, he assumed office as the second Vice-Chancellor of Precious Cornerstone University, succeeding Professor Julius Kola Oloke.
